Donauwellen

The film was shot in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and on Iceland. It begins with an island rising in waltz crescendo and ends with a variation of weather over a mountain top. Although the film remains almost devoid of people, its images are strongly shaped by individual longings and the way nature was perceived in cultural periods.
