Me loving you/you loving me

An experimental 16mm film made in tribute to my mother. A tattoo adapted from her handwriting grounds the film’s nonlinear narrative and conjures soundscapes and memories of familial connection. At once an act of memorialization and playful rebellion, the tattoo and its placement are my response to a common quip of hers—“If you ever come home with one of those things, it better be on your butt, and it better say, ‘MOM’.”
